Dear Families,\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can you believe we are already in the last week of January? Where has the month gone? Our letter study for this week is the letter \u201cJj\u201d for Jumping Jill !<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along with this newsletter, you will receive my instructional plan for our new theme, vocabulary, theme song, and tonight\u2019s home activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A reminder that this Friday, January 31, 2025, is the 2nd PTC so there will be no class. Schedules were sent out with last week\u2019s newsletter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This week our class will begin a new theme titled \u201cLet\u2019s Move<\/em><\/strong>\u201d We will discuss different ways people, animals, and things move. Our topic this week is \u201cMove with Me<\/u>.<\/em><\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our read-aloud this week is a tale from England titled \u201cThe Gingerbread Man.\u201d \u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Ask your child to tell you all the ways the Gingerbread man moved in the story. ASK?<\/strong> What did you read today? What are some ways that people, animals and things move?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On inclement weather days, McCurdy Pre-K will follow the McCurdy Charter school schedule, meaning if a 2-hour delay is called for charter, then we also have a 2-hour delay, however, if this happens to fall on a Friday, then school is canceled as we only have a half day. In case Charter has an in-service, then look for an e-mail from me.<\/p>\n

    • If your child is absent, a written or electronic excuse must be provided to the school upon their arrival.<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • \u00a0If you arrive later than 8:30 a.m. you will be considered tardy and be required to obtain a tardy slip from Ms. Eufemia at the McCurdy Ministry Office.<\/strong><\/li>\n

      Please remember to send your Green homework folders back daily. I will keep them on Thursdays to get them ready for Monday.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \u00a0Please remember to have your child write their name on their homework, many papers have been tossed and children are not receiving credit, because we cannot identify the owner. Thank you.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • On inclement weather days, if a 2 hr. delay is called for McCurdy Charter School, then there will be a 2-hour delay for Pre-K as well unless it is a Friday, then Pre-K is canceled.<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • Furthermore, if school is canceled at the Charter for weather reasons, <\/u>we will cancel as well. <\/strong>\u00a0Inclement weather days will be announced on your local TV stations KOB 4, KOAT 7, and KRQE 13<\/strong><\/li>\n

      As the colder months approach, we want to ensure the comfort and safety of all our students during outdoor activities. To streamline our preparations and smooth the transition to colder weather, we kindly request your assistance in helping your children with jacket-related tasks.<\/p>\n

      Putting on Jackets<\/strong>: Help your child to put on their jacket independently. This skill not only fosters self-sufficiency but also saves valuable classroom time. Practice<\/p>\n

      Inside-Out Sleeves<\/strong>: Please teach your child how to identify and correct inside-out sleeves. This small skill can prevent unnecessary frustration during jacket time.<\/p>\n

      Zipping Up<\/strong>: If your child\u2019s jacket has a zipper, help them practice zipping it up and down smoothly. This will contribute to their independence and confidence.<\/p>\n

      Hoodies:<\/strong> For those with hoodies, show your child how to put on and secure the hood properly. It\u2019s crucial for keeping them warm during chilly weather.<\/p>\n

      We understand that mastering these tasks may take time, but with your support and guidance, we believe your child can become proficient in these essential skills<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

      By working together on these preparations, we can ensure a more efficient and enjoyable outdoor experience for your child and their classmates. We greatly appreciate your cooperation in helping us create a warm and safe environment as the temperature drops.<\/p>\n
